Green tea and black tea

Green Tea’ and ‘Black Tea’ both are made from leaves of same tea plant but there is a huge difference between them. Different researches have shown that the benefits of all teas are the same. But the main benefits of green and black tea are different. Green Tea: Even though they both are made from same leaves, ‘green tree’ does not go through fermentation like ‘black tea’, or ‘green tea’ does not go through oxidation like ‘black tea’. So, anti-oxidant called ‘EGCG’ is found in ‘green tea’ which helps to prevent diseases like cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Since ‘green tea’ is not oxidized, majority of the ‘Polyphenols’ are believed to be safe.

It works with diet and exercise done to lose weight. Green tea is said to be very beneficial to drink during relaxing time in the day and meditating time at night. Since it is less acidic, it cleans the acid in the stomach. Organic green tea has ‘Detoxifying effect’ which helps to make skin glow and increases immunity against diseases. Black Tea: This tea goes through fermentation process due to which ‘anti-oxidant’ is not found in it like green tea.

Caffeine found in coffee is also found in it, but in less amount. Caffeine helps to maintain amount of water in body. Similarly it increases blood flow in brain and because of the bacteria fighting anti-oxidant, it fortifies immune system. Black tea helps to maintain attention and focus mind. Black tea and coffee are more acidic. But adding lemon to warm green tea decreases the harmful acids in body. Different tea leaves should not be used at once while making tea. Water should not be boiled excessively. Excessive boiling of green tea destroys the benefits of it.
