Nepal have climbed six positions up in the latest FIFA ranking published on Thursday, without playing a single game in the past month. According to FIFA, Nepal remain at 179th position this month with 80 points (79.73), six positions up from its last position with 70 points (69.55). Similarly, Nepal had settled on the 185th position, three positions up from its previous month, without playing any games as well. Argentina topped the chart this month by preceding last month’s topper Belgium with a score of 1532 points (1531.67). Number 2 Belgium hold a score of 1352 points (1351.56) followed by Chile with a score of 1348 points (1347.63).
Among other members of the SAARC, Afghanistan stand at 147th position with 210 points (210.13), Maldives at 16oth position with 165 points (164.82), India at 162nd position with 151 points (150.94) and Bangladesh stand at 177th position with 87 points (87.04) above Nepal. Whereas Bhutan at 186th position with 64 points (63.75), Sri Lanka at 187th position with 58 points (58.28) and Pakistan stand at 190th position with 54 points (53.9) are below Nepal.
