An old man admitted for the treatment of hand fracture in Patan Hospital on Saturday, has been died. After the death of the normal patient, the hospital remained unrest the whole day. Lagankhel dweller, 72-year-old, Mr. Raju Pujari had been to the hospital for the treatment of his fractured hand. Right after reaching to the hospital, without any diagnosis, the then checking doctor injected him. The pujari, who was also a diabetes patient, could not bear the injection as the injection was prohibited to the sugar-patients.
The hospital has not proclaimed the name of the hospital and the injection used by the doctor. While going through the report card of the patient, there is no name mentioned for the injection anywhere. Not only that; name of the doctor, who handled the case, has also been unclear and strike-through.
Though it is very difficult to know the handwriting of the Nepalese doctors in the prescriptions, but the family of the deceased has claimed the name of the doctor – ‘Nayan Maharjan.’
Victim’s son says, “When my brother said that media is waiting outside, lets discuss in front of the media; then, they replied they don’t need the media because media does not give the solution.” He adds, “Emergency ma chahi NAYAN MAHARJAN bhanya jasto lagyachha malai. Waha chahi dui-tin din dekhi dekhiyeko pani chhaina re. (In Emergency, I feel they have said Nayan Maharjan. It has been said he was not seen for 2-3 days.)”
The deceased’s son made a claim that the hospital administration pressurized not to give the information to the media about it
